This post explains ADHD way better than I’ve ever seen it explained before.

no because people with adhd are screaming at themselves to do stuff but can’t, people without it just choose not to

A lot of symptoms of disorders are things everyone relates to, but it's a disorder when they become disruptive. Someone without depression can say "I feel sad and struggle with motivation," someone without a panic disorder can say "I feel restless most of the time"

This heavily applies to me, but I think most people I know would say they feel this way. Would most of our generation just have ADHD, then? Cause this doesn’t sound like an atypical state of being in the slightest.

honestly considering how much adhd posts blow up i would say so but even without that adhd is a really deep iceberg that’s a lot more than just what i’ve mentioned before, someone made an in depth post about it but i completely forgot where and people with adhd relate scarily

There are other things that cause executive dysfunction too. Autism, depression, anxiety… etc.

Wow I have all of those. Not even joking too. Guess I have a brain medically classed as "fuk'd m8". Then again as I remember the more severe of these can cause the lower ones. So if you have autism you likely have all of them.

Actually its not necessarily like screaming at yourself . I would say its more like knowing you need to do something in this case the dishes. But rather than doing it you subconsciously forget to do them until someone says or it needs doing.

Like the task stops exiting in your head till something prompts it to be remembered again

it’s fucking depressing when you are literally LOCKED between scrolling through twitter and youtube. And there’s no point doing it. You know there is nothing on. You know there’s shit you need to do, your mind is screaming, but you just. cant. move.
