I've decided I'm going to start answering questions my wife asks me like a politician. "Did you empty the dishwasher?" "Let me be clear. I support clean dishes. I have always supported clean dishes. It is imperative that the dishes off of which we eat are clean."

Keanu Reeves is a fucking badass. He faces cancellation in China (including The Matrix) as Reeves is participating in a benefit concert for Tibet. Some of us care enough to advocate for the persecuted overseas. Tibet is above my line. movieweb.com/keanu-reeves-ch… #FreeTibet

Seems promising for more decentralization in bitcoin key storage and nodes. Maybe mining eventually?

Facts. Change and progress are hard and not inevitable. If you want clean, ordered and straightforward, you want centralization. Otherwise, embrace the chaos.
There is a common fallacy in this ecosystem about "stop talking, do something!" that ignores the reality of decentralized systems. There is no "just do something!" because _it's a decentralized system of many different individuals._ To "do something" that creates meaningful...

Cool post to the mailing list highlighting how OP_CTV/BIP119 can be used in DLCs: CTV “brings the computational cost per CET [Contract Execution Tx] down from hundreds of microseconds to around 5 (per party).” [bitcoin-dev] CTV dramatically improves DLCs lists.linuxfoundation.org/pi…

This is a fantastic and profound thought. I’ve been noticing PoW more and more in existing/timeless human interactions and activities, particularly when you see the harm getting rid of these supposedly “useless” institutions ends up doing to society.
there's something to be said for Proof of Work -- women bear the burden of childbearing, while the male toils to feed them. but now the govt gives out food stamps rendering the father obsolete. if dad doesn't have to do his part, why should mom? F it, bring on synthetic wombs

Wait, how could this be?? I thought putting art on the blockchain made fraud impossible.
📈 The #NFT market has exploded over the past year. 💰 Sales soared past $24.9 billion in 2021, according to market tracker @DappRadar. ⚠️ But more artists are sounding the alarm over thieves stealing their digital work. ⭕️ How big is the industry's fraud problem? 🧵
