I’m seriously loving GNOME Web 41. I hardly ever open another browser these days.

elementary OS 6.1 comes with the latest version of Web, the web browser for elementary OS and GNOME. It packs a newer version of WebKit including a ton of web platform improvements, a refined tab bar, several performance and stability fixes, and an improved Preferences design.

Can't use it because it's too heavy on my old system (Firefox and Chrome perform wellbon the other hand). But it's a clean and pretty browser otherwise.

Does Youtube, Netflix and other popular websites work flawlessly in it? In my previous experience, Youtube was borderline unusable on Epiphany. Otherwise I enjoy the Safari-esque feel of it.

Because the app is WebKit-based. YouTube is known to not working out of the box because it requires non-free codecs, either via Gstreamer plugin or FFMPEG. This is one of many reasons why I use Google Chrome instead

Have you got any performance issues? Reddit for example was barely usable for me with GNOME web 🤔

I had this as well. I assumed Gnome Web wasn't hardware accelerated or something?

Do you apply any special configurations to it or use it as is? I find the scrolling (using laptop/touchpad) unbearable and haven't had much luck finding a solution.

Scrolling was rough for me because the perf on some sites was really bad. Made me switch back to Firefox pretty quick

I am waiting to have some time to check it out properly, major issues for me were youtube and firefox sync so finger crossed because I'd LOVE to use it as a daily driver
