Branches of American government are independent. The charges on Assange were a carryover from the Obama admit. He is not being charged with publishing offences.
You do know that Hilary wanted to have a drone strike on the Ecuadorian embassy just to get to assange, you do know that the same US government that wanted assange dead have been trying to frame trump , name one western leader that has spoken highly of assange, that's right trump
