I wrote this letter recently to my friends in the antiwar and anti-nuclear movements. I see it’s being circulated, so I’ve decided to share it here. For all of you working on these issues, thank you, and please keep going!

Sir, you’ve made the world a better place. You’ve spoken truth to power & have held the powerful accountable. You’ve inspired countless others to do the same. You’ve inspired me as a teacher as well as my 12th grade students. You are a hero. God bless & thank you.

I am very sorry to here this! A few days ago I watched the Pentagon Papers with my 13 yr old granddaughter and explained how brave and caring you were to do what you did! My class of 1966 lost 2 young men and plus others who came home in bad shape. God bless you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you for a lifetime of dedication to exposing corruption and speaking truth to power. My father passed from pancreatic cancer in 1998. Wishing you all the best.

I am heartbroken to read your update. I vehemently disagreed with your positions on Assange and Snowden especially after elections of 2016! Yet I followed you for decades and look at you as a brave hero and a whistleblower who exposed corruption! I’m so sorry 💔
