Well it wasn't a stretch to say that #Sam was going to be a hurricane by the weekend, but it rapidly intensified and is NOW a 75mph hurricane! NHC brings it up to Cat4 (130mph) in 48 hours and nothing atmospherically appears to stop that. Maybe an eye by days end.
A tornado watch has been issued for eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia until 10 PM EDT. A couple tornadoes and scattered damaging wind gusts will be the primary threats this afternoon. #ohwx#pawx#wvwx
