From @therealrukshan’s FB livestream minutes ago, riot police opened fire on rebellious construction workers with teargas, but ultimately fell back

Moments before being teargassed by riot police, these union workers were singing Daryl Braithwaite’s The Horses 😂

Some detailed context on the clash, which is likely to escalate as workers are vowing to return to the streets every day

For context: the jab has been mandated for the construction and trade industries, or these men are all faced with losing their jobs. The union which is supposed to represent them, CFMEU, has not defended their right to freedom of choice and sold them out.

I am only 3km from the CBD and this is very scary and frightening stuff. Journalists have been struck down and attacked in this rally. This is not what my hometown is all about. Very sad day indeed🥲

This is what happens if you take away people's jobs and ability to feed their family.

Many are saying they're not all unionists, but rather right wing motivated anti-vaxxers out to create disharmony in a Labor run state. There are plenty of non union right wing independent contractors who take complying with authority as a joke.
