New upcoming Earth science missions, such as the Surface Water & Ocean Topography (SWOT) satellite, can provide more insight into our changing planet, while instruments currently aboard the @Space_Station – such as ECOSTRESS – help us study the elements of climate.
2021 was tied for Earth's 6th-warmest year on record, according to independent analyses by NASA and @NOAA. Read more: go.nasa.gov/3Fq0Opx

How illuminating! ✨ Two new studies using data from @NASA’s retired Spitzer Space Telescope are shedding light on planets outside our solar system, or exoplanets, including how they form and what drives weather in their atmospheres. go.nasa.gov/33gUHH9 #AAS239

My team is taking a few days to run tests and has enlisted the help of my twin back on Earth. By end of week, we should be ready to attempt removing the pebbles in my bit carousel so I can get back to #SamplingMars. For now, I’m studying the rocks around me in more detail.

The @NASAInSight lander has entered safe mode to conserve energy as a regional dust storm limits sunlight from reaching its solar panels. The mission team said its power is holding steady and are hopeful it can exit safe mode next week. go.nasa.gov/3zQAjss

Tempe, Arizona looks like an alien city in these breathtaking "first light" images from our thermal imager instrument (E-THEMIS), taken during tests @ASU. E-THEMIS will look for warmer areas on Europa, where liquid water may be relatively near the surface. go.nasa.gov/3fbFoSl

I recently captured my sixth rock core and have encountered a new challenge. Seems some pebble-sized debris is obstructing my robotic arm from handing off the tube for sealing/storage. More images and data to come. #SamplingMars takes perseverance. Blog: go.nasa.gov/3Gar7kI

New year, new view. I made it to a mapping quadrant called Roraima. It’s named after the northern-most state of Brazil and Mount Roraima. The terrain in the Roraima region on Earth is similar to this area on Mars – flat-topped hills and some steep slopes. go.nasa.gov/3HAdjQZ
