#VetTales Friday 🦅 We LOVE sharing these magical moments when CA Condors are released back into the wild. This guy, 868, was treated for lead toxicity here at our Condor Recovery Center, and here he is, heading back to the wild open skies at @PinnaclesNPS !

Amid an early and dangerous fire season— illegal fireworks in Gilroy, San Jose and other parts of the South Bay have been going off all night. Dry conditions + illegal fireworks can cause hotspots and a spike in air pollution. #WildFireSeason

Chaparral water station on the west side was re-opened last week in line with quality and safety standards, to continue providing water in the hot summer months when dehydration is the most common cause of rescues and emergencies in the park.

As weather warms, visitors are reminded to watch for rattlesnakes basking on the trail! Snakes often sunbathe in dry riverbeds, and roads and trails look confusingly similar. They aren't aggressive unless agitated - just make sure you don't step on them! #RecreateResponsibly
