Congrats to the ICO, UK's data protection watchdog, for taking a stand for privacy. Unchecked facial surveillance technology is dangerous. We need to strengthen, not weaken, the laws that protect our privacy rights. @carolecadwalla
Well, this is fascinating. Bloomberg reporting ClearviewAI may face £17m fine from ICO for having potentially harvested UK citizens' faces without their consent. I can confirm, it did. This was the result of a Subject Access Request I sent last year. No maybe about it.
