This expectation that hiring a few Black faculty makes ~4,000 higher Ed institutions above critique when it comes to addressing anti-Black racism is garbage. That someone could sit in a Black woman’s mentions + display egregious behavior to try to silence her critique is garbage.
Anybody want to talk about how as an MA student at conferences nobody (and I mean NOBODY) would talk to me, and when I was a CC instructor nobody TT would talk to me, and how conferences often just reinscribe hierarchy in ways that show why TT folks are itching to go back FTF?
