Dorothy Day d. Nov 29 1980. Her granddaughter Kate Hennessy has said that to have encountered Dorothy is to spend the rest of your life wondering what hit you. That was certainly true for me.

Very glad that my essay on “The Future of Christian Spirituality” appears in this new Crossroad vol of essays in honor of Ron Rolheiser. I reflected on the kind of spirituality we would need to cultivate so that there might be an actual *future.* (From opening and conclusion)

Staughton was author of scores of books on history, dissent, and reflections on his career as a long distance runner in the struggle for peace and justice. (He never retired before his death at 92). He and Alice edited “Nonviolence in America: A Documentary History.” @OrbisBooks
