Clarence Jordan, founder of interracial Koinonia Farm in GA, target of Klan terror, d 10/29/1969. He believed the problem with Christianity today stemmed from Christians missing the radical and disturbing challenge of the Incarnation. @OrbisBooks

“The resurrection places Jesus on this side of the grave, here and now, in the midst of life. The Good News...is not that we shall die and go home with him but that he is risen and comes home with us, bringing all his hungry, naked, thirsty, sick, prisoner brothers with him.”

The master woke from troubled dreams: He and his family were cast down from the estate, his servants turned their backs on him, all his wealth had vanished, and peasants were sleeping in his bed. He resolved never again to read the Bible before retiring. #TolstoysTalesofTrump

The master tested his staff’s loyalty by demanding their agreement with random propositions: that ice melts faster in autumn than spring; that hibernating bears dream in French. What made the tests objective is that he himself did not know the answers. #TolstoysTalesofTrump

All those fasts, pilgrimages, novenas, and application of the discipline really paid off! Congratulations.

After many years of fruitless searching the master’s agents returned with glad news: the Fountain of Youth was real—located in a land called Florida. Immediately he ordered that his carriage be readied. #TolstoysTalesofTrump

As he rounded the curve toward the estate, the master averted his gaze from the peasants and children toiling in his fields, concentrating instead on the comforting expanse of absolutely nothing. “Drive on,” he said. #TolstoysTalesofTrump

The master was haunted by the specter of nasty women—some who had resisted his advances, others who accused him of crimes, asked him very inappropriate questions, interrupted his “magnificently brilliant” answers, or secretly laughed at him behind his back. #TolstoysTalesofTrump
I will soon be giving a first in television history full, unedited preview of the vicious attempted “takeout” interview of me by Lesley Stahl of @60Minutes. Watch her constant interruptions & anger. Compare my full, flowing and “magnificently brilliant” answers to their “Q’s”.

Welcoming a gathering of friends and family, the master dispelled an ugly rumor: “Regardless of what you have heard, I’m actually the least genocidal person in this room,” he insisted. #TolstoysTalesofTrump
