Martha sentenced to 10 mos. One reflects on the fact that it is not at present illegal to own weapons capable of killing millions, or targeting all life on earth, or to invest that power of destruction in a single man. Maybe one day. In the meantime there is God’s law.

Very moved to listen in on the sentencing of Catholic Worker Carmen Trotta to 14 months for his part in damaging property at the Kings Bay nuclear base. HIs "criminal" history and lack of remorse noted--but no account taken of war plans that could destroy all human life.
