Feast of St Mary Magdalene. What if the church had been founded on the rock of faith of a woman who did not abandon Jesus when he was being killed, who went to his tomb to anoint his tortured body, who was the first to see the risen Lord, and the first to proclaim this good news?

The Scriptures do not report that she was the first to see Jesus. That is an assumption that is not contained in the text.

It wouldn't be the church Jesus founded.

Should Our Blessed Lord have founded His Church upon the Rock of a Woman's Faith, Our Lady would be His best pick ever. That He, in His wisdom, chose the vain, sinner, flawed and coward St. Peter (who later ceased to be all these things), speaks volumes about His Intentions.

But it wasn’t and Jesus didn’t! He chose Peter and being God ,I trust Jesus!!

I said the same about Martha on Sunday in the Cathedral. You are the Christ - same words as Peter.
