Rather than respond individually to all on Catholic Twitter who have accused me of heresy or blasphemy let me try to put this another way: What if, instead of marginalizing Mary Magdalene as a penitent prostitute (per Pope Gregory, 6th cen), the church had fully acknowledged the
Feast of St Mary Magdalene. What if the church had been founded on the rock of faith of a woman who did not abandon Jesus when he was being killed, who went to his tomb to anoint his tortured body, who was the first to see the risen Lord, and the first to proclaim this good news?
