Feast of St Mary Magdalene. What if the church had been founded on the rock of faith of a woman who did not abandon Jesus when he was being killed, who went to his tomb to anoint his tortured body, who was the first to see the risen Lord, and the first to proclaim this good news?

I was called a heretic on Twitter yesterday for suggesting that perhaps the reason most of Christ’s female apostles were unnamed is becuz the Gospel writers were men. Perhaps a better explanation is that there were too many of them to list 🙄
