Thoughtful piece engaging #DorothyDay on #Communism. Gets #CST on private property/common good correct. I just wish addressed a bit more that the fundamental problem with communism for Catholicism always been about atheism & historical materialism NOT really private property.

Piece is an excellent example of honestly and fairly presenting complex positions (Day's & Marx) without trying to fit #CST into someone else's narrative.

Piece does not conflate positions - has an accurate representation of diverse perspectives, allowing the tension to remain, presented with humility and engagement. Also, always great to see more Dorothy Day!
