FD of St Monica, remembered for her devotion to her wayward son St Augustine. With tears and prayers she encouraged his conversion. Seeing him a Catholic, she said she had no further reason to live. But I’ve always wondered: what about her other 2 children? #SantaMonica

I’m sure she felt Augustine would save his siblings.

My Dad is a long suffering, loyal Catholic. Very intelligent, very sharp, very brave. I couldn't hack it. Years later I see there are many real, brave, authentic Christians across the denominations, just as much as there are Pharisees. He supports the good.

According to legend, Ralph opened up a used chariot business in Hippo. Blanche earned a reputation as hairdresser to the Vestal Virgins.

I’ve heard several priests use their homily to disrespect single mothers & children born outside of a marriage on this day. Augustine was in a long term relationship and was a loving father to his son Adeodatus. Monica meddled— her story is whitewashed.
