Went to the crypt of the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception where in Dec 1932 #DorothyDay prayed to find her vocation-/so naturally who should I find there in prayer but her granddaughter Martha Hennessy.

What a lovely surprise. I loved her book about her grandmother so much. It was so beautifully written.

Oh shoot. The one time I feel like I can respond to a text, and I get it wrong. Still what a wonderful experience for you, and the book still is such a beautiful ode to Dorothy Day.
