It is providential that the 75th anniversary of Bonhoeffer's hanging falls on Holy Thursday. At only 39 years, he knew what it meant to wash the feet of others, in truth. Another great martyr for Christ died too at age 39: Martin Luther King, Jr. History pierces our soul.
