It appears many bishops are willing to enter an unofficial Concordat with Trump. In exchange for his patronage of parochial schools and a “pro-life” agenda (in the narrowest sense) they support his reelection and indulge his claim 2 b “the most pro-Catholic president in history.”

Yet what is the purpose of parochial schools if they must teach a message that has been hollowed out and adapted to the Gospel of Donald Trump? bit.ly/3cY5qVY @ctrlamb

The term “pro-life” is sorely lacking in range as it's used. Such terminology is too often designed to stir conflict more so than to convey morality or meaning.

When I was being confirmed many years ago, the bishop loved to ask us if we knew what moral courage was. Now it is getting harder and harder to find a bishop who could answer the question, let alone live the answer.

This is one of the most horrifying developments we have seen. I don't think Jesus is weeping. I suspect he is feeling a deep cold hard anger. A betrayal on this level takes him back to Judas.

The bishops are repulsive!

Bishops, in general, cannot be counted upon to exhibit moral courage until the risks of acting upon it have passed.

They don’t know a con when they see one and are following the wrong man failing to see the real truth
