Very glad to be reminded of Peter Maurin this morning. I've often had difficulty seeing him as co-equal to Dorothy Day who seems to have been so much more active. As the years go by, however, I hear the voice of the author of Easy Essays more clearly & more often.

My mind is blown. I’m only now realizing (thanks to your tweet) that he shared a birthday with Dan Berrigan. Maybe I knew it at another time of my life, but I definitely forgot!

Peter Maurin’s “theory of revolution was the gospel of love that broke into history”..As Dan Berrigan wrote 1977:’sanity under stress, sameness under variety, what they call today ‘identity’.

Just finished new biography of Dorothy Day. You are in the end part of the book. Thanks for keeping the spirit of Dorothy and Peter at the forefront of your promotion of the gospel.
