It's so funny to me that there are still a small number of people who traffic in slandering #ThomasMerton for being "unorthodox," etc., when every single book and article of his went through not only the Censors of the Trappist Order but also diocesan censors, too. 1/2

Not only that but he submitted to censorship by his order with articles on nuclear war and peace (which now represent official church teaching) and which contained nothing contrary to doctrine. Here are two books he could not publish. Now: @OrbisBooks
