With news that the way has been cleared for the canonization of Charles de Foucauld, I thought back to the book that #DorothyDay gave me 40 yrs ago on the occasion of my being received in the Catholic Church in the chapel of the Little Brothers. Inside, an inscribed photo.

Wonderful news. Can you give the source please for the news about his canonisation? Br. Charles has been a daily inspiration to me since shortly after my ordination in 1976, when I joined an ecumenical Priests’ Fraternity in South London.

No date set for that yet. What was announced was the approval of a second miracle that will pave the way to his canonization. The decree has not yet been officially approved but will presumably follow.
