Retweeting this because I keep hearing from readers who claim that to say black lives matter is to align myself with an organization. To say that black lives matter is to express a truth in and of itself. And it's a truth that our nation and our world needs to hear right now.

I am not putting BLACK LIVES MATTER by my name to support any organization that bears the name. I am putting it there to support the TRUTH that black lives DO matter. The @USCCB expresses support for the saying and I do too. It reflects the Gospel. usccb.org/issues-and-action/…
