55 years ago on Aug 20 1965 Episcopal Seminarian Jonathan Daniels was killed in Lowndes Co, AL, as he shielded @RubyNSales from a shotgun blast. She has used those 55 years well.
Today the Episcopal Church commemorates the martyrdom of Jonathan Daniels, an Episcopal seminarian, who went to Selma in 1965 to support the freedom struggle. On Aug 20 he was killed by a shotgun-wielding county deputy after pushing aside 17-yr-old @RubyNSales, saving her life.
