St Elizabeth of Hungary d Nov 17 1231 at 24. Betrothed as a child to the prince of Thuringia, she went on to have a happy marriage and bore 3 children. But her in-laws disapproved of her piety and inordinate charity toward the poor and sick. She nursed lepers with her own hands.
