Interesting! I am the journalist Davis mentions. Our dispute wasn't over whether there was _any_ truth in Vigano's accusations but rather over whether he was worthy of the hero's welcome that Davis gave him. I said he should be shunned, as he had called for the pope to resign.

Since Vigano began spouting QAnon nonsense and revealing his preference for Trump over Pope Francis, it has become evident that his anti-Francis animus had nothing to do with the McCarrick affair. The pope was wise not to take the bait.
