The annals of women saints are marked by countless examples of those who cleared a new path, apart from the choices dictated by church or society. Later honored—but often in their lives scorned or chastened by men who claimed their sacred desires conflicted with the will of God.

I am not looking to be critical, but isn’t it Angela Merici?

I didn't realize she founded the Ursalines - we went to a wonderful museum in Quebec city devoted to their order. I celebrated her memorial in LOH today since she was a third order Franciscan. St. Angela pray for us.
