The argument is: there's no proper procedure with which you can impeach a president for what he did so late in the term NO MATTER WHAT HE ACTUALLY DID. That's the argument.

The argument seems to be, if he had successfully overthrown the election you could impeach him (tho good luck!), but since he failed, “no harm no foul.”

It's pretty disgraceful what's happening. They haven't learned a thing, except maybe that their voters may kill them if they try to do the right thing for once.
