Whenever I read @ericmetaxas I try to imagine an alternative universe where William Wilberforce tried to separate children from their parents and Bonhoeffer joined with the Proud Boys and Roger Stone to defend Christian civilization. But I can’t.

I have to admit I'm dumbfounded that someone that actually wrote a book about Bonhoeffer would mixup who the Nazi's are but he has confused Trump with the oppressed instead of recognizing him for who he is.

This just reminds me so much of a @PantsuitPolitic episode where they were talking about how you cannot wake someone who is choosing to be asleep. I have to remind myself of that so often when I begin a thought with "how could they...?"
