My father has organized his library around some of his preoccupations: catastrophe; genocide; doomsday; lies; bombing civilians, the problem of evil, etc. Pretty standard.

My home library is the same, but my book on good places to put it for kayaking in my state is on the Theology shelf.

I think there is only one book there I have read, by Primo Levi, under its other title 'If This Is A Man'. Not graphic, not sensationalistic, but unbearably human and profound, it literally gave me nightmares, such were its bleak truths. No other book has done that.
