I was asking @JamesMartinSJ how he deals with all the hateful opposition his ministry generates. He gave such a moving answer that I didn't get to ask my follow up question: Which of my books does he most wish he had written?

He said it was a great liberation to realize he doesn鈥檛 need to have everyone like him. Not everyone liked Jesus or likes Pope Francis. But he does receive much affirmation, and in Ignatian discernment he strives not to be troubled by outward circumstances. He said it better!
