Dorothy Day d. Nov 29 1980. Her granddaughter Kate Hennessy has said that to have encountered Dorothy is to spend the rest of your life wondering what hit you. That was certainly true for me.

I had the honor of meeting Dorothy Day many times in the mid 1970s when I'd spend weekends at the Catholic Worker Farm in Tivoli, NY. It was an experience that profoundly affected me and continues to influence me every day. Remembering her on the 42nd anniversary of her death

Our lady of the Road is where I heard Dorothy Day's granddaughter speak at one of the potlucks. I believe it was Kate Hennessey. Was there with my own daughter. 💛
