Peter’s personalist philosophy, belief in community, voluntary poverty, work, hospitality, the works of mercy, nonviolence, integration of “cult, culture, and cultivation” (respect for the earth), recognition of Christ in the poor— all became foundation of CW and Dorothy’s life.

Much has been made of Dorothy Day's burial site- several years ago our Catholic Worker Community made a pilgrimage to Peter Maurin and Dorothy Day's final resting place. Peter's was in Queens in an unmarked grave. Not surevif that has since been corrected. Thanks for remembering
