I have a backup drive that then gets backed up to Backblaze by the software agent. I exclude everything on main C:\. Works great.
I don't know who needs to hear this, back up your data. The external hard drive holding every picture and video you hold dear is going to get dropped or just die.

14tb drives are a thing? For $200?? 1990s me using 135mb syquest disks would be pretty impressed by the future. Well, parts of the future…

The upright design is the worst part of that drive. So yourself a favor, just run it laying on its side. If it ever falls over from ‘standing up’ while powered on, good chance it kills the drive. So either just lay it down to start or support so falling over is not possible

Or worse yet u knock it on the floor while its running. A client did that to a smaller size drive.

Backblaze just saved my butt when I had an external fail last Thursday. Ordered a restore drive, back in business on Wednesday!

Sweet. Paid $50 during a 50% off sale for my 1st 1TB external drive. Was at least 5 years ago, maybe more. It’s a Toshiba, still works beautifully. I’ve plenty of storage atm, but this drive is a steal! Newegg always has some good deals, their refurbished stuff esp. 🤔 hmm 🧐
