✊ Human rights groups say Russian police use AI to monitor political rallies. 🚨 Several pro-Alexei @Navalny protesters were questioned earlier this year after being picked out by cameras, their lawyers said. 🤐 Activists warn that a lack of clear rules allows for abuse.

🇺🇸The #BlackLivesMatter protests last summer also triggered calls to address racial bias in tech. 📹Some systems misidentify ethnic minorities 10-100x more often than white people. 🚨Human rights groups like @ACLU say law enforcement should be banned from using this technology.

It's scary, there are people who look similar to us, some people have androgynous faces. An AI is not going to be able to tell that, and if you go further what about the elderly and disabled who may not fit into the algorithm? Unfortunately I think it's coming but it is scary.

Ugh. It would be like the system Facebook uses to police their site applied to the real world. FB once executed one of my pages because they said something I posted a year before promoted suicide. It was an meme against anti-maskers that had nothing to do with suicide.
