I sincerely hope that Merrick recognises that this should apply to the #AssangeCase as the @CIA spied on his privileged conversations with his lawyers for years and the @FBI seized all his legal papers from inside the Ecuador Embassy. #DropTheCharges

Excellent reporting from @declassifiedUK. More evidence of the political involvement in Assange’s arrest, hence why extradition should again be blocked at appeal as the US-UK extradition treaty clearly bars extradition for political offences.

🧵THREAD🧵 Today, President Biden announced his intention to end the war in Afghanistan, to great media fanfare. You may remember, way back in 2019 & 2020, President Trump said the same thing. Let me know if you can spot the difference in coverage then vs. now⤵️

A big development in the OPCW's Syria cover-up scandal: a group of eminent signatories -- including *five* former OPCW officials -- call on the OPCW to stop suppressing the findings of the Douma probe and let the dissenting scientists air their concerns: couragefound.org/2021/03/sta…

Really sad & silly judgment on Shamima Begum: "the right to a fair hearing does not trump...the safety of the public." Only a judge (or a politician) could think a 15yo who bitterly regrets running away from home could be a threat to a country of 60 million people...

People who are arguing for vaccine passports are arguing for apartheid. A two-tier society. No access to travel, shops, events, public places for those who either don’t wish to be vaccinated (which is their right) or who cannot for medical reasons. The whole idea is abhorrent.

In Europe, a publisher is languishing in a max security prison, his predicament recognized as torture by all human rights experts. He's wanted by the US for revealing evidence of war crimes. That's actually investigative journalism. #FreeAssange #JournalistsSpeakUpForAssange
