Personal news: As a result of the weather watermark fiasco last night, I have been let go by the Washington Examiner. Good news: I was scooped up by The Federalist & PROMOTED to Head Baseball Writer for the entire borough of Queens, specializing in the New York Mets and weather.

Hi there, did you take this photo? FOX 5 DC and other Fox-affiliated entities would like to use your photo on all of our platforms until further notice. Is that OK? Do we also need anyone else’s permission? Thanks!

Thank you for the inquiry! TooGooden is THE best (as we all know) and I would be honored to contribute. My only ask is a verbal credit given to "TAW" in his printed article.

Hi John, I represent @TooGooden17 who as you know is a Mets beat reporter for The Federalist. Would he be able to use this in an upcoming article about how the Mets are about to go on a tear and moon the rest of the National League in the process?

Can you imagine if you made enough money to pay people millions of dollars to play a kids game?

And this is why “Mets” fans lead the league in delusion, mediocrity and complacency. Finally, an owner who speaks his mind and gives us the facts. We wanted an owner to care for years, but here are “fans” screaming omg no way. Why would he hold his players accountable? #Mets

The great Roberto Clemente was born OTD in 1934, so of course we have to post this incredible throw. 😱

It’s hard to understand why you promised a “comprehensive response” to allegations that you’re mistreating Minor Leaguers and then never issued one. Hitting 100 mph fastballs is hard. Keeping your word is easy.
It’s hard to understand how professional hitters can be this unproductive. The best teams have a more disciplined approach. The slugging and OPS numbers don’t lie.

1) hitters won't get hits because the owner tweeted they don't get hits 2) Rojas has been ejected more than any other manager in MLB
I’m a fan, it could wake up the hitters since our manager decides never to raise his voice

You wanted to light a fire in this team, as some fans are suggesting, now seems like a poor time to do it, in the middle of a brutal stretch after they've nearly fallen out of it. Time was a few weeks ago. #mets

The tweet is like chum to an angry fan base. It's not productive for him to say what everyone else knows about this inept offense. Does feel very Steinbrennerian #mets

My take: Not a fan of the Steve Cohen tweet. Doesn't help matters. The time for him to show he won't stand for losing is in the offseason when it's time to remake this roster and bring in a big-time baseball executive to run the show. #mets

Alderson is not a long-term solution for the front office. There are executives out there that the team might want and tweets like these aren’t going to help their chances of bringing them here. Again, Cohen can do what he wants, but there are ramifications for being so public.

Steve Cohen can do what he wants. He wants to show the fans that he’s frustrated too, but shouldn’t that be obvious? Direct whatever frustrations he has into the team’s offseason plans and give the front office the support and resources to change the mix and dynamic.
