The What You Will project came out of weeks of meetings and discussions on how an ensemble might collaborate at distance, irrespective of lockdown.
It looks to ask, What is Theatre when audience and performers can’t breathe the same air, or listen to a shared space...?

What might a theatrical experience in the digital world look and feel like?
What else can the Digital Arts offer?
And how might Shakespeare sit in this viral, distant, connected world?

Through the fatigue and the struggles of these months, we've also been asking,
How does an international ensemble work & play together without tremendous financial or climate strain?
Should we try to create while the world is raging?
And also, How can we not?

What You Will is a response to 2020,
an open offer of congregation and interaction,
an hour’s thoughtful entertainment for these difficult times, as we all find ourselves together, alone -- so much shared, from so far away.

The 'sets' were so riveting, and the 'story' was so enticing and the characters were bewitching and beguiling!

“Although it took some time to get used to the entirely new attempt, I was captivated by the characters. Traditionally, a theatregoer is passive, but here they are expected to be active. This is revolutionary in the history of theatre and the digital arts.”

"Wonderful! Innovative, active way of enjoying the theatre. Had 9 tabs open and zapping here, there, and felt more intimate to the characters than watching them on a stage performance.
Thank you for giving us a whole new experience.
Too excited, cannot sleep!"
