Come January 1st, 2022, any Californian who wants to can turn their home into a duplex. And while that's a small step toward ending the housing crisis, it still absolutely fucking rules.

The millions of people who have died of COVID deserve to be memorialized with the reverence that will be shown for victims of the 9/11 attacks this weekend, but our grief over our COVID-19 losses cannot be weaponized to make us more patriotic or supportive of imperial warfare.

Do you not like the fact that connecting a Razer device auto-runs an arbitrary installer w/ privs? Do you suspect that other devices may be exploitable? Fear not! Set HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Device Installer\DisableCoInstallers = 1 docs.microsoft.com/en-us/winโ€ฆ

So last week I realized that my Logitech Bluetooth mouse also downloaded the Options software the moment I paired it. But here's the kicker (what Razer and steel series should have done) it downloads it & makes ME run it, UAC prompt and all. That's how it's supposed to be done.

Airborne transmission of respiratory viruses | Science. An amazing comprehensive review. If anyone still believes that SARS-COV2 has no airborne transmission this should end doubt. An instant classic. Great science writing in every paragraph. Bravo. science.sciencemag.org/conteโ€ฆ

This amazing graphic still blows my mind. ~95% of the worldโ€™s mammal biomass is people (34%) or livestock (61%) today. The single biggest biomass mammal group? Cattle. Wild mammals are only 4%. Pets are < 1%.

Hi! Crop scientist here. This "male trees are a capitalist scam" idea worked its way to TikTok from a hustler named Tim Ogren. Spreading this disinfo around is just doing free advertising for him. Tree Sex Ed, A Thread
i recently learned (to my dismay) that female trees are purposely not placed in urban areas. this is bc capitalism doesnt want female trees to bear free fruits. you can also thank capitalism for pollen season due to too many male trees producing pollen w no females to fertilize
