Studying World War II, you learn surprising things about Nazi leaders. Some of them were gifted artists. Some really loved animals. Many were devoted fathers. Others had a great sense of humor. One thing they all had in common, though, is that they all deserved to be hanged.

Also (I'm pretty sure this hasn't made news abroad) the ancestors of the last Kaiser are fighting with current Germany to get their stuff back, claiming they had no hand in Hitlers rise to power hohenzollern.lol (try Google translate on there, since it's German)

I’m conflicted in liking this because I oppose hanging anyone, even Nazis. Thank you for reminding us how lovely Nazis could be and how, welp, still Nazis.

What I mostly learned studying ww2 is that looting Jewish people & other nations' resources was very much a motive, not an afterthought. Fascism goes hand-in-hand w/ criminal enterprise.
