I doubt I order the same exact bowl more than a couple of days in a row as I alternate freely between carnitas, chicken, and barbacoa. I've been disappointed in the steak for a while and am trying to get steak replaced with carne asada.

After a couple of years, my doctor told me I had the best blood numbers she'd ever seen so I figured that CMG is a good way for me to stay healthy. My nutritionist tried to get me to expand my diet 9 years ago but he even agrees it's working for me.

When the one opened near my house, I was eating at CMG six days a week. I'd see my parents on Sundays and it was too spicy for them. Over time, I realized how well the food treated me, I didn't have to worry about allergies, or think about what I was going to eat.

TLDR: Starting eating a lot of Mexican as a way to avoid my food allergies. I was eating at Moe's, Qdoba, Taco Hell a lot when CMG came to Raleigh in 2007. I worked two miles from the first CMG in Raleigh and started eating there 5X per week.

When I worked in Chapel Hill, NC in the 1990's there was a little restaurant near my office called the Lizard and Snake that served black beans and rice. I loved it and ate there frequently. In 2000, I learned I was allergic to wheat, milk (whey), and refined sugar.

Before COVID I traveled a lot and really enjoyed visiting CMGs in different cities. I have my favorites in Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego. I also like the "test kitchen" in lower Manhattan though I've only been there once.

I have my "home" CMG about two miles from my house where I eat if I'm not traveling. I will go to other CMG's in the city where I live if someone wants to meet for lunch or I'm working in a different part of the city.

I have a green fruit smoothie every morning for breakfast. I don't usually eat dinner. CMG for lunch is my big meal for the day.

I always order a burrito bowl -- I'm allergic to wheat so no tortilla. My typical order is brown rice, double black beans, fajitas, pico, green salsa, corn salsa, cheese, and guac. I rotate protein based on what looks good that day.
