Oral antivirals will support vaccines and can be manufactured cheaply in large quantities to share with the world! To get there, we first need to complete our optimization process ("Discovery") and enter the “Preclinical” phase. Only after both phases can clinical trials begin!

With vaccine supplies still limited globally and the emergence of variants like #Delta, time is of the essence. We hope to reach clinical trials within a year! To do this, the @covid_moonshot has partnered with @DNDi to utilize this new funding from @Wellcometrust!

F@h simulations contributed to this study of interactions between the #COVID19 Spike #Demogorgon and human antibodies. The human antibodies inhibiting the Spike RBD were assessed for potency and potential for immune escape! nature.com/articles/s41586-0…
I'm happy to have contributed some @foldingathome simulations to this work! We used over 200 μs of aggregated simulation time to analyse contacts made between antibodies and the #SARSCoV2 spike protein (RBD) 🦠 Check out @CrollTristan's thread for a great summary ⬇️
