We are currently seeing a lot of misinformation regarding our VM-related countermeasures in several games. We understand that some players might want to play the game in a VM, e.g. if they are using Linux, but we hope for your understanding that we can't support such (1/3)

untrusted environments going forward as they present an unsolvable security risk, proven by the fact that e.g. in EFT over 90% of recently active VM users were found to be abusing their VMs to cheat, forcing us to take this step inevitably. (2/3)

We want to emphasize that we do not ban anyone for simply running the game in a VM, but as always we will ban any users who actively try to bypass our measures. Normal users will only receive a kick (like @OrdinaryGamers). (3/3)

Can you explain how my newly built PC got a machine ban on Fortnite without ever playing a game...even Epic agreed with me it was a mistake but they say they cannot remove the ban????

Firstly, I understand your predicament, but I completely disagree with the way you are going about it. You have just admitted here, that 'normal users' will be punished... you said it, not us. This is plain and simple discrimination.

Instead, you should be pushing AMD and Intel to make hardware VM memory encryption available (ie. AMD SEM-SEV) and enforce its usage, this will allow VM users to continue while stopping dead in its tracks the kind of abuse you are seeing.

Your most recent article on your page though is drop 2017, looking for help. That's not very comforting when you are a security product...
