If you right click on the file in Library or Favorites you should see the Copy URL Command option.

You can add a Location that includes .rmd files. For folders that cannot be added as Locations, you can use the in-app 'Open' function open and edit. To "train" iOS to open .rmd in iA Writer: Long press on file in Files app → Share → iA Writer.

Punctuation (incl. -[ ]) is not currently indexed for Quick Search in-app however you could use Finder on Mac for this:

Yup! You can find a 'space/nbsp' on the ⌘ command keyboard. Press and hold 'space' then slide your finger over 'nbsp'. 🙂

Minor update for iA Writer for Android. Due to new regulations "Library Device (Private)" is now called "Device". "Device (Public)" has been removed. Relax. Your documents are still there. Tap "Open from...", and look for a folder on your device named "iA Writer".

Is it on in settings? If so, write a mail to support@ia.net so we can find out what is happening.

Dictation is an iOS system-level function (via keyboard). There is no app specific setting for this. Using Find & Replace for (._) → (.__) should work to quickly touch up your document. 🙂 (_ = space)

You can apply keyboard shortcuts to any menu item in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts. Choose iA Writer as the application and then type in the literal menu item text and chosen shortcut:

It looks like you may have entered your WordPress account password. This won’t work. You must use an application password, available in WordPress 5.6 and newer.

iA Writer always saves as you type and when you switch files. The dialog you are seeing is likely due to a System Preference you have set:

Unfortunately this use conflicts with standard Markdown syntax. To avoid this you can escape ' * ' using a slash ' \ ':

We understand your frustration, but no other app can add entire folders from @devontech. The workflow with an Open dialog in iA Writer is identical to what you’ll see in any other app. Here’s a video of us quickly opening a bunch of small files one after another.
