Both the app and phone are completely up to date. I am also not experiencing any issues with data or WiFi on my phone. I currently do not have a Verizon phone service and I use another company, however the FAQ for Messages + states that it is sill possible without one.

Thanks for the additional information. Have you tried uninstalling the app and then re-installing and signing in? You mentioned that the desktop site says you need to activate your phone, did you receive the texted code? ^RSM

Yes I tried to uninstall and reinstall again. I received all the messages, but when I clicked be attached links in the messages and scanned the QR code it always said “Unknown Error”. I even tried to install from my iPad to see if it would work but the same exact thing happened

I appreciate the extra details. Have you signed up for Verizon Messages+ in the past with the associated phone number you used? Is there an error code in addition to the "unknown error" message? ^RSM

I don’t believe that I’ve ever set one up before but I may be mistaken as I would have had no reason to in the past. There is no error code. A box pops up that says “error” at the top and then where the description of their error would usually be it says “unknown error”

Thank you for that information, Jacob. When you scan the QR code and it says 'Unknown Error', does it give you another alternative option besides scanning the QR code? ^JRM

Well on the “unknown error” screen it only had the option to quit or cancel I can’t remember exactly what it says and then it just takes me back to the screen to scan the barcode again but just does the same thing everytime I try to scan.

Nobody will talk to me unless I “Verify my account” but to do that I need to login to my account which I do not have because it won’t let me register an account with my phone number which is the whole reason I am asking for support in the first place...
