What I'm reading is "multiple major airlines fail to maintain their radar equipment in an FCC-compliant state by not recalibrating or replacing units that drift into neighboring spectrum". Am I wrong? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I feel like "the major US airlines are at war with AT&T and Verizon over 5G and threatening to ground flights starting Wednesday" should be a bigger story theverge.com/2022/1/18/22889…

If you run a radar altimeter that can't coexist with other signals that are *220MHz away*, do better. No consumer-grade equipment manufacturer would be able to get certified with such a massive range of variation and crosstalk potential.

Seriously... name another industry that can simply be like "our equipment frequently drifts into YOUR spectrum, so YOU must stop operating on your spectrum because OUR equipment cannot operate safely" ...like... are altimeter radars FCC certified or not?

Exxon's new "net zero" claim excludes damage caused by their products when used This is the same as a tobacco company promising all their staff will quit smoking and then expecting to be congratulated for having solved the lung cancer problem Treat this like you'd treat that 🙏🏽

btw if MLK and anne frank hadn’t been killed, they’d both be 93 today (younger than betty white). i think it’s important to see pictures of them in color as a reminder that “history” was not very long ago

PSA: if you’re mad that I’m frustrated about how this is being handled two years into a global pandemic when other countries have been providing models for how to distribute tests effectively: I’m begging you to please have higher standards. Seriously. It’s okay to expect more.

Warning to those with multiple people at one address: you only get the four tests per address, regardless of how many people live there, apparently? My husband just tried, and we got declined. People with large families or roommates must just be SOL, I guess?
PSA: The @USPS page for ordering FREE covid tests is working. covidtests.gov/

May I present: our finance minister
"I'm not a scary hawk, I'm a friendly hawk," says German finance minister Christian Lindner. He tells @mariatad that Germany wants to be part of solutions and not part of the problem trib.al/LA8wina
