I wrote an essay for @YaleLJournal Forum on how understanding privacy's agonistic & participatory benefits could inform reform efforts surrounding both the internet & surveillance of physical public space. Still very much a draft so welcome feedback! papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.…

The surge of laws formally excluding #trans youth is unconstitutional but also provides an opportunity to challenge the many structural barriers perpetuating the subordination of trans & gender variant kids. @TheRegReview theregreview.org/2021/07/01/…

Learned so much from participating in this #lsa2021 panel on trans legal theory! Thanks so much to the audience and amazing panelists @paisleycurrah @Ido_Katri @ButNotTheCity @moirapez @ezraiyoung & Blas for their challenging insights!
All such great papers, moving far far beyond identifying problems with minoritizing views about trans people and the state: gender modalities, trans parents and mayhem, cruel legalism, students' identity as verified by committee, and trans originalism!

Thanks so much, Jenneke, for this careful read/review of "Privacy at the Margins," including the comparative EU insights and gentle critiques--the juxtaposition with "Privacy is Power" by @CarissaVeliz was super helpful, too!

Yes! Thank you @DarrenRosenblum & @BRSoucek—and of course @shannonminter5 & @NCLRights for helping lead this fight to protect trans students!
Thank you @DarrenRosenblum & @BRSoucek for drafting a brief that makes the most important point: the First Amendment is not a permission slip to demean students.
