Because I got my BA in Graphic Design, worked for a TV station right out of college, worked for printing companies over the past ten years, and saw Web Development as new terrain.

I had to maintain my org鈥檚 first website circa 1998. Or maybe it was building an Access database to manage our members that same year鈥 Either way, complete accident because the Cold War ended and my knowledge of Soviet-US relations wasn鈥檛 so relevant.

1. I continued losing interest in eSports; at the same time, the programming market was 馃敟! 2. I already knew how to code. Had a good time w/ Minecraft (Java) in 2013.

I was broke and struggling to get another teaching job after the recession, started learning JavaScript for fun, and once I saw the number of tech jobs open in places I actually wanted to live, it made more sense to give up on teaching and do this instead.
